Shishila - Sauthadka

Shishila , an ideal place for a destressing getaway. Located near dense forests a few hours from Mangalore it's a calm, cool place with good view, nice whether(october) and peaceful people.

Shishila - Matsya Theertha (Fish Pond)

Away from the hustle and bustle, listening to the chirping birds

Fishes near the Shishileshwara(Shiva) Temple.
The locals and the visitors revere them and offer grains of puffed rice (sold by one of the temple vendors)

A "Naaga-bana"(cobra-temple) nearby

Malgudi Days?!...

Village alarm-clock

A wooden foot-bridge
"Bayalu Ganesha" meaning open-field Ganesha.
A story goes saying that a devotee had a dream of Lord Ganesha , who instructed him to construct a temple as a mark of his great devotion, in their honour, laying down a condition that if he were to build a roof overhead, the roof-top tower would have to be visible to one from Kashi(Varanasi) and that it would have to be built in a day
